Step 1
The pre-analysis stage.
Before we get together for the business planning sessions, based on years of accumulated knowledge and experience, DaltonPlan® analyse your industry sector information and compile components of your business plan to save time during the planning sessions.
From this we determine whether your business requires a one, two or three day planning session, as explained in steps two and three.
Step 2
The planning stage.
On the 1st day, we meet face-to-face with you and discuss your personal goals and business goals. This leads us into developing financial strategies around costings, cash flow and Profit & Loss annual projections based on the DaltonPlan® industry-specific benchmarks for sustainable profitability, for your particular industry, to achieve your goals.
On the 2nd day we focus on developing marketing strategies to underpin your financial strategies developed in the previous session. We analyse “who holds the power” over profitability in your industry, is it your business or is it your competitors, suppliers, customers or the two other important market forces being new entrants and substitutes? We then analyse the resources which you will need to operate successfully and look at how to minimise any risks. This includes the legal side, like leases, employment contracts, OSH requirements and tax compliance.
The 3rd day is dedicated to Operations Planning, developing flow charts with you and your staff of those processes critical to the smooth running of your business. This is the glue that holds the business together enabling you to achieve your goals.

Step 3
The implementation stage.
You’ll come away from the planning sessions with a sharper focus on your business aspirations and most importantly, with a practical business action plan for how to go about achieving your goals, tucked under your arm.
We then keep in touch with you for a further 12 months e-mentoring to make sure you implement all aspects of your business plan.
Personal and business development through mentoring
Step 4 – Option 1
Ongoing monthly mentoring sessions - We offer ongoing effective 1-hour, monthly mentoring sessions to existing and new clients either face-to-face or via a 60 minute Skype video call. Current mentoring clients have seen their business really take off, achieving their goals in a much shorter time frame. So call us and let’s talk about personalised mentoring for you.
Step 4 – Option 2
Annual Review – Take one day out of your business year to review and track your business performance. Discuss what you want to achieve in the upcoming year. Look at what business decisions have worked and how you can expand and develop new ones.
