Goal Setting - Personal and Business
To operate a successful business, firstly you need to establish your objectives (goals). Then determine the strategy which will best achieve those objectives taking into account the establishment of a sound company structure, detailed financials, effective marketing and efficient systems that will support those strategies. All of these success factors are included in your DaltonPlan® business plan.
The purpose of setting goals is to keep yourself focused on the reasons why you have chosen to be self-employed. Having developed a clear set of goals, all of your energy and resources can now be targeted at those areas which will enable you to be successful in achieving them.
Goals must be:
- Quantifiable - so that they can be measured and checked as having been achieved.
- Achievable - the end result must be an improvement of your current situation - don’t be too conservative.
· Dated - so that you can focus on achieving your goals.
Personal goals feed into your Business Goals.
