Dean has always loved inventing things and without exception it is from seeing a need or a gap in the market - from when he was eight years old, nailing a piece of string along his Nana’s bedroom wall, so he didn’t have to get out of bed to turn the light out, to creating a business call Dalton Files & Folders, which started out with 1 product and expanded to over 2,500 products which were sold to across the South Pacific, to his last invention “The StayPut”. Again Dean saw a need while sitting on the beach, and basically this need is to stop umbrellas up-rooting from the sand and flying down the beach. And so the “StayPut” was created. As always with all great inventions it is a relatively simple concept.
